3. Tripion AI (AI Chat)
Powered by ChatGPT API (OpenAI)
Tripion AI is an AI-powered assistant developed by Welcome to Vietnam using OpenAI’s large language model. It provides travel information, recommendations, and general assistance.
Data Processing
- Messages sent to Tripion AI may be transmitted to OpenAI for processing and generating responses.
- We do not use your conversations to train AI models or for marketing.
- OpenAI may temporarily store interactions for system performance and abuse prevention, as explained in OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.
Information You Should Not Share
Please do not share sensitive information such as:
- Credit card or banking details
- Passport numbers or government IDs
- Personal health or financial data
Accuracy and Limitations
Tripion AI responses are automatically generated and may be inaccurate or incomplete. By using it, You acknowledge that:
- The AI does not have factual awareness or memory of prior sessions.
- We are not liable for actions taken based on AI responses.
- AI content is provided “as is”, without any guarantees.
Data Retention
AI chat logs may be temporarily stored for diagnostics and security purposes, and are periodically deleted.
4. My Journey (Itinerary Planning)
What Data We Store
When You use My Journey, the following data is stored in your account:
- Destinations, order, and number of nights
- Route selections and transport preferences
- Selected places (points of interest) within each destination
- Start date and scheduling information
- Optimization preferences
This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is associated with your user account.
How We Use Itinerary Data
- To save and restore your itinerary across sessions and devices;
- To generate route suggestions and optimization recommendations;
- To create downloadable maps and PDF documents when requested by You;
- To temporarily store generated files (map images, PDF documents) on our server when You request a download;
- To generate shareable links when requested by You.
Shared Itineraries
When You share your itinerary via a generated link, the following data becomes accessible to anyone with the link:
- Destination names, order, and number of nights
- Route and transport information
- Selected places within each destination
Shared itineraries are read-only for viewers. Only You can edit your original itinerary. Share links remain active until You modify or delete the associated itinerary.
Guest Access
Users who access a shared itinerary without an account are assigned a temporary guest identifier. Guest users cannot edit itineraries. No personal information is collected from guest users beyond standard usage data (IP address, browser type).
Downloaded Files
When You download a map image or PDF itinerary, the generated file is temporarily stored on Google Drive to enable the download. These files may be retained for service improvement and diagnostics. Files are associated with your account but are not publicly accessible.
Data Retention and Deletion
Itinerary data is retained as long as your account is active. You may modify your itinerary at any time through the application. If You wish to have your itinerary data deleted entirely, please contact Us at [email protected].
Third-Party Services
My Journey uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
- Google Cloud Firestore: for storing itinerary data
- Google Drive: for temporarily storing generated download files (map images, PDF itineraries)
- Mapbox: for rendering maps and generating map images
- OpenAI: for processing natural language itinerary requests
These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage You to review their respective policies.
5. Data Sharing
We may share data only in these limited cases:
- With service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics, cloud infrastructure) to perform services on our behalf;
- To comply with legal requirements or protect our rights;
- As part of a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition.
All partners are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.

- We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above.
