Da Nang

Da Nang is a beautiful coastal city in central Vietnam, which famous for its pristine beaches and majestic mountains. You can go to Da Nang by plane (international or domestic), train or bus (Phuong Trang Bus, The Sinh Bus from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and other provinces).

Hoi An

Hoi An is a famous ancient town in Quang Nam province, about 30 km from Da Nang. Hoi An is known to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and where you can’t miss when coming to Vietnam. From Da Nang, you take the bus 01 to Hoi An (30 000 VND, 1,2 USD).

Hue

Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam, about 110km from Da Nang, was the capital of the Nguyen dynasty for 143 years from 1802 until abdicating in 1945. Today, Hue preserves almost intact unique architectures such as Imperial City, Forbidden City, Tomb of kings, and thousands-year-old temples. From Hoi An, take the bus to Hue, the fare is 230 000 VND (10 USD)

Another famous place in Central Vietnam is Quang Binh province with Phong Nha Cave and Son Doong Cave, you can take the bus from Hue to Quang Binh (we recommend Bao Yen Bus (at Hue Northern Bus Station) Fare: 130 000 VND, travel time is 4hours.) as the itinerary: 1 day in Phong Nha, 2 days in Hue, 2 days in Da Nang and 2 days in Hoi An.

Things to do in Da Nang for 3 days

Day 1

Visit the Marble Mountains in the morning

Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) is a complex of 5 limestone mountains that rise above the sandy beaches: Kim Son (Venus), Moc Son (Jupiter), Thuy Son (Mercury), Hoa Son (Mars) and Tho Son (Saturn). Ngu Hanh Son has a majestic landscape with ancient mossy rocks and many cultural and special architectural features: Huyen Khong cave, Am Phu cave, Linh Ung pagoda, and Non Nuoc stone carving village.

How to go? Ngu Hanh Son is about 10km from Da Nang center, you should take the bus 01  to come here.

Explore the city center in the afternoon

Walk around the center, visit Han market and Con market.

Go to My Khe beach and Da Nang Night Market 

Visit Da Nang night market (address: Mai Hac De, Son Tra district, Da Nang).

Day 2

Visit Ba Na Hills (full day)

Of course, you should not miss Ba Na Hills when visiting Da Nang.

Ba Na Hills is a large tourism area located at the top of Nui Chua with the height of 1489 m above sea level. It’s known for the world’s longest cable car system, “the most impressive walking bridge in the world” – Golden Hands Bridge, as well as the breathtaking sceneries.

Enjoy lunch buffet on Ba Na Hills (250,000 VND).

End the second day by walking around the bank of the Han River, see the Dragon Bridge and Han River Bridge.

Day 3

Visit the beaches along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street in the morning

The beaches along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street are beautiful and pristine, trust us, you will love these beaches at first sight!

Go to Son Tra Peninsula or Hai Van Pass or both in the afternoon

These are two beautiful hills in Da Nang,

Son Tra Peninsular is considered the pearl of Da Nang, with coastal road winding and exciting attractions. Located in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district with an area of 4,439 hectares.

Hai Van Pass (The Sea Clouds), is one of the most beautiful and most dangerous passes in Vietnam, between Da Nang and Hue. It is famous for its beautiful winding roads, sudden curves, and blind corners, while its lookout point offers gorgeous views of Da Nang Bay.

The best way to get there is by motorbike (you rent right at the hotel, 100 000 – 150 000 VND).

Da Nang Tips

You should choose a hotel near My Khe beach (on Vo Nguyen Giap street) to facilitate travel.

Most hotels in Da Nang offer motorbike or bicycle rental for between 100 000 – 150 000 VND/day (5-7 USD).

Things to do in Hoi An for 2 days

From Da Nang you take the bus 01 (from Da Nang Central Bus Station) to Hoi An, Fare: 30 000 VND (1.2 USD), travel time is about 2 hours. Opening hours: 5:30 am – 5:50 pm.

Day 1

Visit An Bang Beach in the morning

An Bang Beach is 3 km from Hoi An city center. The clear blue sea, gentle waves, white sandy beach – a wonderful space for you to enjoy the relaxation comes from the sea. In 2011, An Bang beach was voted as one of the 50 most beautiful beaches in the world by CNN GO.

Visit Hoi An Ancient Town in the afternoon 

Walking or cycling along ancient streets.

Experience on Hoai river by boat in the night (100 000/one).

Day 2 

Visit My Son Sanctuary in the morning

My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam Province, about 40 km from Hoi An, consists of many Cham Pa temples surrounded by hills and mountains. It is considered to be one of the main temples of Hinduism in Southeast Asia in the 4th century, where worship of the Cham Pa royal dynasty as well as tombs of the Champa kings. It is a treasure of humankind and a must-visit place when coming to Vietnam.

Entrance fee: 150 000 VND

You should buy a tour at Hoi An, the price is about 500 000 VND (22 USD).

You should bring snacks and drinks.

Go to Cua Dai beach in the afternoon, and visit an ancient town again.

Cua Dai is a beautiful beach of Hoi An, about 5 km from Hoi An Ancient Town. The beach is famous for its white sand and clear blue water. For a long time, Cua Dai beach is considered one of the beautiful beaches of Vietnam, and is a must visit place when coming to Hoi An.

Things to do in Hue for 2 days

 
 

From Hoi An you take the bus to Hue, we recommend The Sinh Tourist Bus (Add 587 Hai Ba Trung, Hoi An) Fare: 120 000 VND, travel time is 4hours. 

Day 1

Visit Imperial City in the morning

Imperial City is a citadel in Hue, the capital of the Nguyen dynasty for 143 years from 1802 until abdicating in 1945. It is a massive complex located on the northern bank of the Perfume River, features hundreds of monuments and ruins, such as the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial City, and royal tombs. Hue Imperial City is the UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-visit attraction in Hue.

End the day by taking a walk on the bank of the Perfume River

Perfume is a poetic river of Hue, the northern bank of the river is a magnificent Imperial City, the southern bank is a modern city, and is surrounded by majestic mountains.

A combination ticket is 360 000 VND gives entrance to the Imperial City and 3 tombs within 48 hours.

You should book accommodation in the walking streets to facilitate travel.
